Omg! That PTO results and ranking page is so amazing I even found myself and all my old mid- to back-of-the-pro pack results 😆 Thanks for calling out the sandbaggers. There was a Triathlete Mag article or two recently about the rise of the elite age grouper and not once did they mention one of the obvious reasons to upgrade--to effing challenge yourself. There really should be a sub-elite category and I'm kind of like, if USAT can offer a non-binary category in every race, why can't they add a sub-elite? 🤔
And yeah, I mean there used to be that category at some races (an elite AG/overall AG type category). I think the challenge is if it's not offered at international/large races, then it doesn't really create a cultural change?
