We’re officially announcing our new chat/forum for subscribers.
It’s a conversation place just for us using the Substack app (the platform this newsletter is written on) — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. My plan is that we’ll use it to talk about hot news (Nice, France!), host live discussion threads during big races, and bounce triathlon ideas and suggestions off each other. [I’ve also been promised that the ability for all subscribers to start threads is coming soon.]
We quietly got started earlier this week talking about the big announcement that Kona & Nice will rotate for the Ironman World Champs for the next four years (and I’m so happy to report it has been one of the most sensible places having that discussion right now). Now, I’m inviting everyone to join us.
Get in there and join our introduction thread: Tell us who you are and what races you’re doing this year. And get ready for a giveaway announcement coming later this week—a free spot to USA Triathlon’s Fantasy Camp at the Olympic Training Center—where we’ll have extra entries in our chat.
To join the Triathlonish chat, download the Substack app, available on iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, and you can turn on or off notifications.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for the Triathlonish chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into the intro thread to tell us where you’re racing this year, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
